CORAL SANDS BUNGALOWS

PRIVATE BEACH
ABOUT

ABOUT

Exquisite Private Beach with just 3 simple bungalows- with electric plugs and lighting. About 1 km from the beautiful, happy, friendly Melanesian village of Emua. No sound to disturb you but the gentle lapping of the lagoon in this sheltered cove. Each evening the sunset glows lighting the 3 islands which are a very short distance away. The local style thatched bungalows are set in a beautiful flowery tropical garden.

Your delightful hosts are Ni-Vanuatan Emua villagers Kenneth and Anita (Your hosts do not sleep at the resort, and you may request privacy, as you desire.) Staying at Coral Sands Beach brings you into the heart of Vanuatan natural beauty and culture too, if you wish.

THINGS TO DO

SEE & DO
Boat Trip to the 3 nearby islands

Kenneth will arrange a very reasonably priced day trip in a local fishing boat to see the lagoon islands and to snorkel. Truly the color of the lagoon must be seen to be believed! We even saw a dugong (sea cow) and a sea horse. The reefs are so unspoiled. The coral exquisite. The sea is calm. The beaches we visited are divine.

Cultural Experience
The LAP LAP feast

Kenneth and Anita will treat guests with a LAP LAP feast cooked in a traditional pit. I think this is an island experience to remember.
It lasts all morning, and we all help to get the locally sourced natural bounty prepared. The fire and stones just right. Then the banana leaf packages go   on. At last it's time to feast.

GUEST REVIEW

My husband John and I  have been to Coral Sands Bungalows many times. We have got to know Kenneth and Anita and the other members of the tribe at Emua. When Kenneth asked us to make a website for his precious beach and bungalows, we were very happy to share our experiences with others. All Ni- Vans are under great pressure from International developers to sell their land. Kenneth wants to save his beach. Emua Village wants to keep their charming beachfront village. But times are tough. They have no facility to make money other than to rent bungalows and to run a restaurant.  Your stay at Coral Sands  supports these delightful people and will bring you as much happiness, I am sure, as it has always brought us.
